About Me
Hi, I’m Alyssa, a digital marketing student at California Baptist University, who enjoys blending creativity with thoughtful, data-informed strategy. I’m especially drawn to the creative side of digital marketing, including social media content creation, storytelling, and building brand experiences that feel authentic and people focused.
Through class-based projects, I’ve worked with tools like Google Analytics to explore SEO, user behavior, and content performance, learning how data can guide creative decisions. While my experience is still developing, I’m eager to continue growing through hands-on opportunities and real world learning.
My approach to marketing is grounded in values like integrity, authenticity, and intentionality. I believe marketing should be honest, purposeful, and focused on building trust. As I continue building my portfolio, I’m excited to grow as a marketer and contribute to work that reflects both creativity and meaningful values.

I have a strong foundation in strategy, consumer behavior, and digital advertising. Through my coursework, I’ve developed full marketing campaigns including audience personas, funnel strategy, paid ad concepts, and performance metrics. I’m especially interested in how data and creativity work together to drive band growth and customer loyalty.
Social Media
Video Description
This is a short morning routine coffee video created for social media. I planned, filmed, and edited the video myself, focusing on cozy visuals, natural lighting, and a calm pace to reflect a relaxed morning routine. The goal was to create content that feels authentic and relatable while using simple visual storytelling to keep viewers engaged. This project reflects my interest in creative content creation and lifestyle-focused social media.
Video Description
This project is an end-of-year video created using a CapCut template to highlight moments from my year in 2025. I selected and organized clips that captured meaningful memories, daily life, and personal highlights, then edited them to flow naturally with the template’s timing and transitions. The goal was to create a video that feels reflective, emotional, and personal while still being engaging for social media.
Photography is another creative skill I bring alongside my work in digital marketing and social media. I enjoy capturing architecture, environments, and everyday moments in a way that feels natural and visually intentional. Through photography, I’ve developed a strong eye for composition, lighting, and perspective, which also influences how I approach content creation and visual storytelling across platforms.
The images featured here reflect my ability to observe details, frame spaces thoughtfully, and create visuals that communicate mood and place. This experience allows me to contribute not only as a marketer, but also as a creative who can support brands, teams, or projects that need original visual content, whether for social media, websites, or lifestyle-based storytelling.
Photography has helped me better understand how visuals shape perception and engagement, and it continues to inform the way I think about branding, content, and storytelling as a whole.

Class
Client Strategy & Brand Optimization Project
For this project, I helped develop a full marketing and optimization portfolio for Arlington Lanes, a local bowling alley. Our objective was to identify opportunities to increase customer traffic and improve how the business connects with its local audience through digital marketing and website improvements.
We focused heavily on evaluating and improving the business’s website experience, including layout clarity, user flow, and accessibility of key information such as open bowling, parties, leagues, and promotions. A major part of the project involved SEO strategy, where we researched and integrated local keywords, optimized homepage structure, and planned content updates to improve visibility in local search results.
In addition to SEO and website optimization, we developed marketing ideas centered around social media, promotions, and community engagement to attract families, leagues, and repeat customers. This project gave me hands-on experience applying digital marketing strategy, SEO fundamentals, and creative thinking to a real local business, while understanding how thoughtful marketing decisions can directly impact customer growth and brand perception.
Brand Strategy, Customer Experience and Digital Marketing Project
Anchor House Coffee was a large, semester long project I completed as part of my digital marketing major. The goal was to create a fully developed coffeehouse and retail brand from the ground up, focusing on how branding, customer experience and digital marketing work together to support long term growth.
I began by defining the brand’s identity, tone and target audience, making intentional decisions about the look, feel and atmosphere of the space. This included thinking through how customers would experience the brand both in store and online, from first impressions to repeat visits. The concept was designed to feel welcoming, modern and consistent, with a strong emphasis on creating a place people would want to return to.
A major part of the project focused on digital marketing strategy. I planned promotional campaigns, loyalty initiatives and launch ideas aimed at building awareness and encouraging repeat customers. Social media played a key role in the strategy, with content ideas centered around storytelling, behind the scenes moments and lifestyle driven visuals that reflected the brand’s personality. I also explored how a well structured website and cohesive branding could strengthen customer trust and engagement.
Throughout the project, I applied both creative and analytical thinking to make realistic marketing decisions, balancing visual branding with strategic planning. This project was especially important to my development because it allowed me to practice building a brand holistically, not just creating content, but understanding how marketing, customer behavior and brand consistency connect in a real world business context.
